Xbox 360 Controller Faceplates - A world first
Third-party manufacturers have created the world’s first custom controller faceplates for Microsoft’s Xbox 360. Currently there are seven different designs available.
The new colors are metallic silver, sexy red, solid black, candy pink, transparent, smoke grey and clear blue, and available from Hong Kong video game retailer, Lik Sang.
The replacement casings are suitable for both wireless and wired versions of the Xbox 360 controller.
Gamers can now have a completely unique Xbox 360 experience by customising both the look of the console and controller with exchangeable faceplates.
Since the replacement procedure requires that you open things up, changing the controller faceplate will automatically void the warranty on your controller.
This isn’t the easy-exchange kind of customisation that the console’s exchangeable faceplates offer. You’ll need a a phillips screw driver or even one of the unusual torx screw drivers, if you want to customize your wireless controller.
