Microsoft announces Xbox 360: Zero Hour launch event

Microsoft has released further details of its North American Xbox 360 launch event, known as Xbox 360: Zero Hour. As we reported previously, the Xbox 360 launch event will take place in the desert.

Microsoft has now revealed that Xbox 360: Zero Hour will take place in California’s Mojave Desert.

The Zero Hour launch event will begin at sunset on November 20, and continue until 12.01 am on November 22.

Zero Hour looks set to be a gamer’s paradise, with over 500 Xbox 360 consoles complete with high-definition monitors set up for gamers to sample exclusive action from Epic’s Gears of War, participate in the inaugural 32-player Perfect Dark Zero deathmatch, and check out the entire library of Xbox 360 launch titles.

Attendees will also be given exclusive Zero Hour merchandise, such as Zero Hour Xbox 360 faceplates, and have the chance to rub shoulders with Xbox royalty such as J Allard and Peter Moore.

As Peter Moore says,

“Gamers at Zero Hour will have bragging rights to say ‘I spent more than 24 hours at the epicenter of the gaming universe.’”

Those fortunate enough to win tickets to Zero Hour will also have access to an onsite Best Buy store, where they can pick up their Xbox 360 consoles, games and accessories minus the hassle of queuing for hours at retail outlets.
