Official opening of Xbox 360 Lounge in Tokyo
The Xbox 360 Lounge is now open to the public in Tokyo.
At the relatively low-key launch event, gamers and press had the opportunity to check out the cafe cum retail storefront.
US gaming website Gamespot noted that most of the Lounge is set up as a cafe, with a total of eight Xbox 360s set up for visitors to try out.
Six Xbox 360 gaming stations are set up against one wall of the Xbox 360 lounge, each with a high-definition monitor.
A more comfy set up is featured in another area of the Lounge, with plush couches to sit on and two Xbox 360 consoles set up with large screens and 5.1 surround sound.
At present, gamers can try out Xbox 360 titles such as Ninety Nine Nights, Every Party, Ridge Racer 6, Kameo: Elements of Power, Dynasty Warriors 5 Special and Wrestle Kingdom.
Visitors can also select from a menu which includes sandwiches, salads, soups, sweets, coffee and tea.
The Xbox 360 Lounge will play host to a Microsoft-sponsored launch countdown in December, and features a 200-inch screen for such large-scale promotional events.
