PS3 cheaper than Xbox 360?

A large-scale survey of the Japanese public has shown that most believe Sony’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 will be roughly equivalent in price.
40.9% of those surveyed replied that they believe the PS3’s price will fall somewhere in the ¥30,001 to ¥40,000 [US $256.50 to $342.00] range.
The Xbox 360’s Japanese price tag of ¥39,795 [US $340.00] is towards the upper end of this range, and 55.3% of respondents indicated that they felt this was too expensive.
Nintendo’s Revolution console is expected to have the lowest retail price: over half of the survey’s participants believe it will be priced from ¥20001 to ¥30000 [US $171.00 to $256.50].
The PS3’s software is predicted to be most expensive of the three consoles: 41.1% say that games for the next gen console will cost between ¥7001 and ¥8000 [US $60.00 to $68.00].
Xbox 360 games are tipped to be priced between ¥6001 and ¥7000 [US $51.00 to $60.00], and Revolution games will cost much the same, with respondents more or less evenly split between a price range of ¥5001 to ¥6000 [US $43.00 to $51.00], and ¥6001 to ¥7000 [US $51.00 to $60.00].
