Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for Xbox 360 release delayed

The release of Take-Two Interactive’s Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the Xbox 360 has been delayed.

Take-Two Interactive announced the news of the role-playing game’s delay in a press release regarding the company’s financial projections.
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will not be available this holiday season, instead making its debut sometime in the second quarter of their next fiscal year, which will run from February to April 2006.
As reported by GameSpot, Take-Two’s president and CEO Paul Eibeler indicated that concern over the title’s quality assurance was the reason for the delay, saying,

“We are moving the launch of Elder Scrolls IV to our second quarter, based on the [sic] Bethesda Softworks requiring additional development time to ensure the title meets gamers’ high expectations for this popular franchise.”
