Further Xbox Live details revealed

Gamers can look forward to receiving scheduled game content releases and pay-to-download new game content when they take their Xbox 360s online using Xbox Live.

Peter Moore predicts that the next big thing to hit the console gaming scene will be “episodic gaming” - the release of new game content at scheduled weekly intervals. Moore believes that gamers are

“going to have the same experience as people who religiously watch ‘Lost’ or ‘24,’ who can’t wait for Wednesday nights at 8 o’clock or whenever.”

Xbox 360 enthusiasts will also have the chance to make money using Xbox Live, as it will be possible for them to create game-related content and sell it via the Xbox Live Marketplace. The technically talented will have the opportunity to sell character avatars and machinima [video game-related film clips].

Car racing game fans will also be able to download new cars for their games (for a fee, of course).
