Exclusive Xbox 360 Developer Interview with Codemasters

Codemasters have agreed to an exclusive Xbox 360 developers interview with Xb360info.com. The famous UK game developers are currently working on LMA Manager 2006 for the Xbox 360, arguably the best soccer management game on any console. Sam Cordier and Bryan Marshall, Chief Technical Officer at Codemasters, were kind enough to answer our questions regarding game development for the Xbox 360 console.

Interview by Jane Farrow, Xb360info.com staff.

Xb360info.com: Which titles do you currently have under development for the Xbox 360, and in which genre do they fall?

codemasters lma 2006

Codemasters: We are currently working on developing the hugely successful LMA Manager 2006 for the Xbox 360. As the best football [that’d be Soccer, for all the American readers out there - Ed.] management game available on any console, it’ll fall under the Sports Management category.

Xb360info.com: Which of these titles will be available for launch time?

Sam Cordier of Codemasters

Sam Cordier, Global Communications Executive of Codemasters

Codemasters: Although not a launch title, LMA Manager 2006 will be available in March 2006 with full Xbox 360 LIVE support and the best 3D match in the industry.

However, I must stress that there will be more to come so keep your eyes peeled.

Xb360info.com: Are any of your Xbox 360 titles sequels to current generation titles?

Bryan Marshall, CTO of Codemasters

Bryan Marshall, Chief Technical Officer of Codemasters

Codemasters: LMA 2006 will be a bigger and badder brother of the Xbox and PS2 counterpart which is being released in November 2005.

Although it will look similar in design, it will be a different beast under the hood with an unrivalled 3D match engine (thanks to the massively enhanced graphical abilities of the Xbox 360) and more stats than you can shake a stick at.

The capabilities of the Xbox 360 will allow us to incorporate a much larger game world and entire player histories, making the title a much deeper, fulfilling and realistic football management simulation.
