Yo, i think that the core system sucks, and that every one should buy the real' system with all the good stuff, on the other hand the core system will allouw for a bigger hard drive, if one comes..... I would go for the reg. xbox with all the stuff, but if you reallly are serous about getting all ure stuff personlized (and losing more money over time) go for the cor. sys. I want the reg. my self caus i live far away and want all the stuff, dont really like hunting around for it.... up gradable= core Plug n play= reg.

In a word VAT. The government charges 17.5% tax on all luxury items, you pay it on all sorts of things but don't realise it because its included in the price. The US price dosen't include sales tax (which varies from state to state - in California it is 8% for example) Add 17.5% to $400 and it becomes $470 - which is 269 pounds, a tenner less than the UK price.

Having just found out that you need an adapter for the wireless networking at an additional cost I'm going to wait for the PS3. This is new. I was always led to believe it would be an intergrated system. Microsoft have moved the goal posts and even though I have always favoured the Xbox before I'm moving over. It will support blu-ray, I can use my PSP (amazing, must have piece of kit) as a remote control via bluetooth to it. It will have a cordless keyboard and mouse to access internet via the tv !
