Information for Contributors
In order to contribute to our site, please read our terms and conditions plus the following information:
- You must be 18 years or older. We will make exceptions for exceptionally talented younger writers.
- If you use information or image material gathered from other news sources (including magazines or other websites), you must always provide the source of your information so we can verify it and possibly clear copyright issues.
- Everything you submit to this site becomes the copyright of our publisher, Cherry Internet Services.
Submitting anything to us constitutes agreement to our terms and conditions.
Style rules
Although we edit every contribution (and provide free feedback on it), here are a few style rules that will make your contributions accepted quicker:
- Keep your contributions short. As a rule of thumb, around 250 words is good.
- Keep paragraphs short. Stick with one idea per paragraph. Don’t use more than 3 (short) sentences per paragraph. Short is good!
- Stay with the facts: use humor and wishful thinking sparingly.
- Use simple language. To make our site universally easy to read and understand, keep the use of idioms to a minimum.
- No fan-boyism: Avoid slagging off other systems or web sites.
- Avoid jargon: Our sites are read by mature gamers and parents who may not be familiar with gamer-speak.
What to write
This is really up to you. The emphasis is on “informative“. For example, a history on Microsoft’s journey into video gaming is just as appropriate as is technical commentary related to the Xbox 360 hardware.
We are interested in reviews of Xbox 360 games and accessories. It’s also ok to watch other news sources and provide an insightful take on news stories as they emerge.
