Are there any differences between the Japan and NZ Xbox360

Hey,
I looking at buying a Xbox 360 and my Dad is heading over to Japan in may so i was thinking about getting him to pick me up one, but if i get it from japan will New Zealand games work with it and will it work with Xbox Live, etc cause it would suck to get one and have it not be fully functional

it might i mean like the words will be in japaneese and you wont be able to change it
