The HD DVD external drive will have to be purchased seperatley from the Xbox 360 system. It is an add-on and is not a necessity. You will need it however to watch HD DVD movies.
The external drive will in no way affect the gaming capabilites of the console. As far as I am aware the games are already played in high-definition. |

Put it this way, it's going to be cheaper to buy an external HD DVD drive than a HD DVD player. Plus it will be a lot more compact and will not take up as much room.
So if you already have an Xbox 360 and want a HD DVD player it really is the smarter option. Atleast Microsoft didnt have it included in the original package because otherwise the system would have cost a lot more. This way you only need to buy it if you want it. |
