Think of it this way, when the unit releases there will be a far wider assortment of titles (judging by the coming soon list for March/April/May) and far more accessories to choose from as opposed to November.

Assume by then they 360 will support gameplay of a much wider assortment of normal Xbox titles. On a side note Sega GT Cars look great on the Xbox where when I ran it on the 360 some car colors like red no appeared pinkish and stale so if you’re like me abuse your new device less and keep playing xbox titles on your xbox. It takes extra space to support some games it supports later and when they load up your 20GB drive with 8GB of Warren Miller video/ “making of the 360″ videos. Personal opinion.

Only recently has demo content appeared so you will be treated with a plethera which was non-existent at Launch. Just pick up a new Xbox title and keep saving a large fortune. Why you ask? Because if the rumors are true of two versions you will need the equivilent of $700USD for the PS3 w/Blue-ray drive could blindside us with a summer launch. As mentioned the REAL games worth owning begin appearing around your launch dates. If you’re HDTV-less like me but, possess a “19 PC Monitor you’re going to want the 360-to-VGA cable.

I’m not aware whether the Remote will be included in your release. It’s a godsend trust me so if not get yourself the low end packaged model definitely completes the ensemble and a second Wireless controller and a recharger w/pack. My choice at launch was Perfect Dark Zero (rentable) Charger w/pack. Now having purchased a second controller 3 months later I will pick up a 11USD battery pack and the system is nicely accentuated. If you want to pamper it they are coming out with cooling extras for the system.

While I know the feeling you have. I equate it to the release of Grand Theft “San Andreas” on PS2. Your wait will pay off in that it will be a far more enriched launch and it’s all brand new to us at the same time.

Get your wiring plans in order to happily accept your Xbox’s big brother while keeping something free for the PS3. A 4-port hub so you can jack into the net and startdownloading at least 6 different demos.

So let’s see, you’ve stood around for over 10 hours, some manager has instructed you to also buy two items with your 360..you know he’s full of it but they said when you finally got in the store if there’s any arguments you’ll be asked to leave the store…so you keep your trap shut -buy the full system-charger w/pack-and NFS:MW,Project gotham 3 for the driver view (it’s their money shot so they excluded it in the demo) Project Dark Zero…or the half a dozen new releases. You’re now so wiped out you can barely have stamina to play after all those mind games, isn’t it nice to know you don’t have to jimmy you complete system around to accept your 360, the included cable reaches your cable modem without any adjustments. Create your gametag, check out the extra content, then delete most of what you see including the music becuase you’ll need it for the 6 demos you’ll want. My thought is one day I’ll buy a second hard drive for it and hot swap as needed. I’m sitting with 9GB with all those demos at a fingers touch, it’s fantastic. The rule I’m going by is Even as bad as Final fantasy demo was it looked for at least 4GB of empty space, then installed for a while so Space is definitely going to be an issue you may want to take note of.

Beyond all that it appeared many people had issues with the power brick overheating, people putting in the unit in a small enclosed area where there was no ventilation..heat issue again, People who prefer standing it on end found if it picked up even the slightest vibration during gameplay equalled damaging the game CD. We were the guinea pigs and with the opening of this third production facility I would guess they will correct any repressed defects they might have become aware of after launch. Could turn out you wound if with a better built 360, some expensive extra was thrown in to overcome initial launch issues.

Check out a soon to be released Xbox title called “Crashday”. There’s a PC demo of it on the net. By next year with any luck Test Drive unlimited will be up an grinding away with all of us trading pick slips, car bodys and rare high-perf parts to lay down some serious HD High-def audio rubber on both sides of the ocean and we can all laugh about this insane supply and demand-diverse release dates.
