the 360 is a whole lot better than the original - DH - and in terms of performance, the hardware specifications seem to have the 360 and ps3 on even footing, and although the ps3 sports higher tfps for video playback/rendering it doesnt for actual gaming calculation, the 360 has 3 general purpose cores, each roughly like that of the single ps3 core, thus an almost 3 times greater gaming experience, but the ps3 also have 8 other smaller core, one dedicated to error fixing and the other 7 basically are video rendering.

The graphics cards are much the same, sporting different technology, increasing the power in different areas where it evens out.

A main bonus for the ps3 over the xbox is the extras, flash slots 6 usb (compared to xbox’s 4) etc, but the xbox is shipping with a hdd whereas the ps3 isnt atm to save on costs.

The ps3 also supports blu-ray, kool, meaning no compression which used to be the reason for the cpu being chewed up with o.t.f decrompression, which is where the hdd is used in the orginal xbox!!!
